ETL IV Wrap Up

Here is some stuff that I hadn't quite got around to posting here.

I am making these for loyalist scum a friend. As such they will be in the colors of his army. They are I believe, ultramarines successors. BUT I will be hiding at least one hydra in there for some good old fashioned alpha legion infiltration. ETL IV vow 3.

Graffiti Thousand Sons

These are going to be my graffitied Thousand Sons. The story is that some rubricae got left behind in the depths of a hive world when their sorcerer died. They gathered dust and repainting until it was believed they were just statues of noble heroes of the Imperium. And then they were forgotten still further as the hive grew ever higher. Abandoned to the depths, they were covered in gang signs and other such graffiti, until the Tide of Blood came bringing with them a sorcerer capable of running the rubricae. They are also my second vow for the ETL IV.

Brother Fishlips

So I decided to make a comedy marine for Grotsmasha's Conversion Challenge 8.

Here is the story:


Brother Lucius Nagruk Fishlips has turned to the worship of the blood god. Unfortunately he has a few difficulties in actually engaging in his endeavor. First, his speech patterns (due to the clone casting equipment beginning to wear out), second his choice of weapons, and third a cruel prank pulled by Tzeentch after he blacked out eating some of Nurgle’s fauna. The combination of the first two means that Brother Fishlips is often seen rushing at the enemy shouting “Blub foh da blub glub!!!” as he messily beats them into submission dual wielding seasonal seafood. His only confirmed kill was with a sea urchin. The final difficulty that Brother Fishlips has with creating a holy river of blood lined by a beach of skulls of the worshippers of the corpse god is that Tzeentch has convinced him that the rest of the CSK(oD) also worship Khorne, thus Fishlips obeys their orders without question.

Four Armed Yojimbo

This is going to be a khornate warrior who has been blessed with four arms, He has sworn to kill any who threaten his charge, and is quite effective at it. Sorry about the pictures, my current camera is still MIA.

I would love some advice as to what to run him as, preferably an independent character, alongside either my chaos eldar or alongside my csm. (Obviously run as two different things).

Tacked together with what I believe are the finalized bit selection, still needs cleaning and greystuff. (Once again, still sorry about the camera). I think for the csm I will run him as a khornate terminator lord with double lightning claws.

Painted, still needs to be assembled and based.
This was a huge stretch for me technically. It is the first time I have tried painting fire, and it is also the first time I have highlighted a model. I think this is hugely better than previous models I have done, although it now means I may need to repaint everything else, or at least go back and highlight it.

I need basing suggestions, please advise.

Grenade Tree Spawn

This is for the  BnC spawn competition. A good Samaritan offered to send me a bunch of grenades when I said I had an idea for a spawn that used many of them. Here is the beginning of that spawn, please forgive the pictures as I have misplaced my normal camera and have to use my 3DS.

Added an arm, still need to figure out what I want to be in his left hand, maybe just tentacles.
